Very First Craft Fair!!

I did it!!! My very first craft fair booth!!! I am so stoked!!! I almost backed out because I felt my inventory was too low. However, that turned out not to be the case. I had enough cards and small gift bags just not much of anything else. I'm going to step it up a notch with the next booth.

Here's a few things I was able to do. Everything went over really well!! Especially the tooth fairy tins! I sold out of those.

I am having trouble posting the pictures from today GGGRRRRR

Until I get that resolved here is the link to the album in Facebook:

I guess that's not a bad thing... you can see the other stuff I've done too!

April 2011

This post is short and sweet. April was a slow craft month for me. My husband came home from a year long deployment and I was busy preparing for his return home. I was still fairly new to Crickie and this poster is all I was able to figure out. Sad I know.... but it got my point across LOL.

See? short and sweet :D

March 2011 Birthdays

I have a bestest buddy that lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She and I were joined at the hip when we were younger. We and our children would go everywhere and do everything together. The kind that would go out with you and as the night of drinking and cavorting progressed, would sneak off to the car to get her camera. She is the one who, when we were younger, would safe guard my bail money, as I would hers. We had a third bestest buddy in our group that was smart enough to stay home, under the guise of babysitting.

SIGH...

This is the very first birthday card I made.

When I first started out my projects were dark, busy, and borderline obnoxious. Kinda like my personality!

The inside sentiment says: "
It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them." It was just perfect!!!

March 2011

Nothing brings out crafyness like a new baby!! When my husband's very best buddy and his new wife had a baby I was seeing PINK!

I have a confession, the pages pictured here is a kit I bought from my scrapbook store. I saw the photo album and fell in love with its' pinkness. I had every intention of using my Cricut for the page decorations and doing it all myself but at this point I was new. I got bogged down with ssoo many ideas and decor choices I couldn't decide what to do. So I cheated :/. It came out cute as can be so I can't complain.

I made the card myself.. can't ya tell? HEY I still had not figured out how to work my Cricut Expression, I had no supplies in which to work with and it turns out my imagination with what i had to work with was limited.... happens :)

Love is in the air!!

February starts my year long obsession with my Cricut Chaos. Valentines Day this year was SOO MMUUCCHH FUN!! My older daughters PreK class was having a Valentine's party and it was time to gather up the cards for exchange. I caught myself shopping for the flat, boring cards where the only difference was the licensed character on the front. Imaginative right? NOT!

Then the thought smacked me dead square in the forehead:

"HELLO KUCKLEHEAD - this is the exact reason and occasion you bought the Cricut Expression in the first place"! So back home I went and sat at the dining room table for hours, clueless what to do next. I may even drooled a little bit.

After my pacing, googling, thumbing thru my cartridges and coming up blank I almost gave up. Then I thought, Valentine's Day and Weddings have one thing in common.... Class what is it? That's right LOVE!!!

I broke out only my wedding cartridges and viola! We have heart treat boxes!! I cut 20 out of red, white and pink 8.5 x 11 card stock. I cut the image to fit the page which turned out to be stretched to 8.25. Once the idea surfaced and I pushed Crickie's (my pink Cricut) power button ... GAME ON!!!

These were simply a matter of Cut, Assemble and fill (yup NO glue). DONE! All I had to do was cut and assemble. The girls had the best time sticking on the foamy Valentine stickers. We had a really good afternoon!

When Pygmy come home from PreK she was bouncing off the walls and walking on clouds. She was ... is there a word bigger then excited? She brought the only treat boxes and apparently they were a hit!
